Dominique Blanc

la douleur

Having bid farewell to the Comédie-Française, Dominique Blanc reveals another facet of her talent, her voice, in her show “From Purcell to Dalida.”

Discovered in the theater by Patrice Chéreau, with whom she collaborated on several occasions, she has enjoyed a brilliant career on stage and in film. A recipient of several César Awards, including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, she has left a lasting impression on audiences with her roles in “Indochine”, “Milou en mai, “Ceux qui m’aiment prendront le train”, and “”Stand by”.

In a never-before-seen recital, Dominique Blanc opens up :

“Ever since I learned to take a shower on my own, I’ve been singing! In the bath, I hum. Every morning, I sing Luis Mariano or Dalida, Mozart or Armanet, Purcell or Frehel, Damia or Reggiani or Moustaki, Poulenc or Satie, Amalia Rodrigues or Adamo. These are my mantras. They’re what keep me going when I’m crying. They’re what keep me going when I feel like smashing everything. I love them; I adore them…”

Dominique Blanc

" A magnetic presence, a voice that commands silence."
